Imran Khan says Peshawar blasts should not be politicized

Chairman Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan Sunday visited Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar to inquire about the health of people injured in the blasts.

Later talking to media he said the Provincial government will use all its resources to restore peace in the province and also cooperate with the federal government for the purpose.

“Shocked at targeting of our Christian community in Peshawar. This is an attack against all Pakistanis.We stand with the Christian brethren,” Khan said in his tweet.

He said all the political parties had decided to hold talks with the Taliban at the recently held All Parties Conference.

 

Imran Khan said that the Peshawar blasts should not be politicized.

 

 Chief Minister of KPK Pervez Khattak was also with Imran Khan who said he has ordered inquiry into the attack. He also said he ha ordered VIP treatment to all the injured. He announced a three-day mourning.

The KPK govt also announced five lakhs rupees compensation for the family who died and two lakhs for the injured.

Meanwhile the Christian community staged protest demonstrations against the blasts in Peshawar‚ Karachi‚ Quetta‚ Islamabad‚ Lahore and Multan.

Council for International Religion has announced three days mourning and three holidays in the missionary schools and colleges in Peshawar.

ANP also announced three days mourning to express solidarity with the Christian community

 

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan chaired a special meeting in Peshawar on Sunday to review the law and order situation in KPK after the Peshawar blasts.

 

The meeting was attended by Governor‚ Chief Minister and Chief Secretary besides Inspector General Police and Inspector General Constabulary.

 

President Mamnoon Hussain also rang up KPK CM Khattak and assured all support.
