Arsalan Iftikhar threatens Imran Khan with a disqualification reference

Arsalan Iftikhar has threatened Imran Khan with a disqualification reference in the Election Commission of Pakistan for violating the Section 62 and 63 of the Constitution of Pakistan on Monday July 7, 2014. The son of the former chief justice of Pakistan Supreme Court told reporters that Imran Khan did not disclose correct information regarding his children when he filed nomination papers to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Arsalan Iftikhar approached the secretary Election Commission of Pakistan to obtain the copy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan’s nomination papers.

Arsalan Iftikhar later told reporters that he is preparing to file reference against the Parliamentarian after collecting all the relevant documents for his disqualification as a member of the National Assembly.

He told reporters that he think that Imran Khan did not provide the correct information regarding his children and only indicated his two sons on the nomination papers.

According to experts of constitution law, Arsalan Iftikhar might be able get Imran Khan disqualified under section 63 of Constitution only if a court had decided that Khan was involved in wrong doing.
