Pakistan is taking steps to bring Dr Aafia Siddiqui back

Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui, sister Dr. Aafia Siddiqui imprisoned in the United States, met with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in Islamabad on Wednesday July 9, 2014. The Interior Minister said that Pakistan government has been making sincere efforts to bring her back to Pakistan.
Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s sister and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan discussed the various aspects of the case and possibility for her return from the United States. Interior Minister informed Dr. Fauzia about government measures taken in the matter.
Chaudhry Nisar said that Pakistan government is working sincerely to bring her back and legal aspects are being reviewed for her release from US detention.
Dr. Fauzia thanked Chaudhry Nisar and hoped that these efforts will be fruitful and her sister will be once again in the country soon to live with her family.
Dr. Aafia Siddiqui received Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts but she disappeared in 2003 while traveling from Karachi to Rawalpindi. She was later sentenced to 86 years in prison on September 23, 2010 by the New York Court for shooting U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
Dr. Fauzia had claimed earlier that there was possibility to bring her sister Dr. Aafia back to Pakistan but Pakistani government was not serious in her return.

Please for the sake of humanity , release Doctor Affia Siddiqui , she has suffered alot of torture and Im sure by now she would be so emotionally broken , just her family around her would be heaven for her . It can happen to a Pakistani’s daughter or an American’s daughter . If American govt relaeses her , it would be a great sign of goodwill and humanity , and good people are everywhere .
Please try your level best , people in position to let her be released .
