Imran says resignation of PM only option to diffuse political turmoil

Imran Khan says resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is the only option to diffuse political turmoil in the country during his address to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activists on Sunday. Imran Khan presented six demands to government but maintained resignations of PM is the first condition for any negotiations.

Imran Khan earlier also asked overseas Pakistanis to stop sending foreign exchange to Pakistan through banking channels and use the ‘hundi’ method to send money. Realizing that ‘hundi’ is illegal, Imran later said that Pakistanis should not send money to Pakistan at all unless PM resigns.

Imran Khan had already asked Pakistanis to stop paying taxes and utility bills to federal government. Now he has added that Pakistanis should withdraw money from government banks.

Imran Khan also threatened to stage wheel-jam strike through out the country if Nawaz Sharif did not step down as Prime Minister.

Imran Khan clarified his remarks about his wedding and said he has no time even to think about his marriage before creating the ‘naya’ Pakistan.
