Mental Fatigue

Fatigue, whether it is mental, that is caused by mental or nervous work caused by physical or muscular work is a peculiar individual state, and is characterized by conscious phenomena and objective phenomena.

The first are the feelings of fatigue, tiredness or exhaustion, which together with various complaints, subjective fatigue is part of the call, the latter consisting of a decrease in performance (quantity, quality, or both).

Mental fatigue is caused by prolonged mental effort in activities that require close attention, as well as emotional issues, hormonal imbalances or the age of the person.

Focusing only on mental fatigue, is more common than it appears at the end of the day. Fatigue decreases the attention span and concentration and, thereby, to make mistakes.

Fatigue also affects mood. Any problem seems greater when we are tired, either physically or mentally. Therefore, it is more appropriate decisions when it is clearer.

When someone says it is tiring, it is usually because he feels that the effort made to accomplish the work he becomes progressively more painful, and is accompanied by discomfort, such as painful feelings of tension, congestion, empty, and so on., In various
parts the body.

How mental fatigue takes over a person?

Normally, when we have to do a study, we have to go through an initial period of adjustment, adaptation and concentration, during which it acquires the attitude of rapport with the subject and put in place, gaining speed and acceleration, all mental devices to
capture the material studied.

Followed by a second period of "warming", during which resistance or inertia due to the start, it goes further on the matter and absorbed the data with increasing ease.

In the third period, they balance the effects of training and the incipient fatigue, gradually increasing the effort of concentration.

Finally, the fourth period, in which the effects of fatigue prevail over those in training, and thereafter gradually declining the utilization curve, while increasing the discomfort of effort, engendering a feeling of tiredness, boredom or disinterest can produce
sleep.

There is hardly a way to avoid mental fatigue, however, getting proper sleep and a healthy routine can most certainly help an individual overcome this phenomenon.
