Tough Cars of the Year, 2012: The list is out and Toyota rocks the roster – Part 3

Following is the list of the vehicles that made the top 9 list of Tough Cars for 2012.

2012 Acura TL

Acura TL is the most expensive of the list and it belongs to the section of luxury cars. The brand undoubtedly has the pedigree of being one of the most reliable cars in the world and TL 2012 model is no exception.

With 3.5-L V6 engine the vehicle churns out 280 hp/254 lb-ft or with an upgraded 3.7-L V6 it gives 305 hp/273 lb-ft.

2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid

The culture of hybrid cars is catching on its roots in the automotive industry and since the hiking oil prices have found their way to consumer’s wallet, these vehicles are getting more and more attention. Ford Fusion Hybrid is one example to quote.

Gone are the days when the hybrids and electric vehicles looked like an absurd nose on a beautiful face. These vehicles are getting more and more in-shape and stylish. Ford Fusion Hybrid is no exception to that fact. It starts sales at $28,775 but offers more fuel efficiency to the owners.

With a 2.5-L I4 engine it fires 156 hp/136 lb-ft with an extra kick of 35 hp from the Electric Motor.
