The increased number of babies in the hospital, and lack of social services and low income of parents of babies, forced the midwife to do the unimaginable.

In the early 40’s, Miyuki Ishikawa worked as director of the Kotobuki maternity hospital in Tokyo, Japan. The insane pressure Miyuki felt was left to die hundreds of newborn infants, believing that this will avoid a life of anguish.

Miyuki was born in 1897 in the village of Kunitmi within the district of Miyazaki. He completed his studies at Tokyo University and after graduating began a relationship with Takeshi Ishikawa, then the knot, but the marriage produced no children.

To assist in your home, Miyuki got a job as a director on the wing of Kotobuki maternity hospital, where he worked to assist deliveries. At that time Japan did not recognize BS on this practice.

During his tenure Miyuki also reviewed the reports made about parents and their background, and discovered that many of them were poor and did not have enough income to support a family without suffering economic needs.

In this situation the midwife Ishikawa, sought help from charities and social services, but received no positive response, Miyuki was in a serious moral dilemma, his desperation grew to the extent that the list of moms grew. Faced with this setback the midwife
Ishikawa found a chilling solution, and soon began to stillborn babies.
