AT&T is still leading iPhone carrier
Back in 2007, when iPhone was released, AT&T was the only carrier in United States that offered full support to all its features. This joint collaboration between the mobile makers and carrier, took the telecommunication industry by storm and until now no
other product has managed to surpass the benchmark set by Apple’s iPhone.
The popularity of iPhone has been on the rise and it has virtually observed an exponential trend in that regard, which has been confirmed with their latest release of iPhone 4S, in October.
The touch screen has failed to locate its true competitor until now. The must-have phone is leading in the smartphone industry, with its awe-inspiring features and applications to die for. Not to forget, Siri has pushed further all previous invisible demarcations
in the world of applications.
In this rat-race within the mobile industry, AT&T lost its sole partnership with iPhone, as now the product is also available from three of the four carriers available in U.S., which does not undermine the exclusivity enjoyed by the original carrier of Apple
iPhone. According to the market survey, 56 percent of iPhone buyers still opt for Ma Bell over joining newer players, Verizon or Sprint that account for only 32% and 12% respectively. This shows that AT&T has continued to keep its flag higher amid the fierce
competition amid carriers.
Sprint, recently joined the carriers’ clan with the release of the iPhone 4S in October. Prior to this, the service providers in partnership with Apple were, original exclusive partners and Verizon.
