The Massacre of Deir Yassin – Part 1

In the early morning hours of April 9, 1948, the peaceful village of Deir Yassin was attacked and its inhabitants massacred by the Zionist gangs- terrorist Irgun and Stern commanded by Menachem Begin and Benzion Cohen respectively.

For centuries, the village of Deir Yassin (5 km west of Jerusalem) was a peaceful place Palestine . The Arabic word Deir means monastery. In the early eighteenth century, around 1742, a Bedouin Arab nomad and his family settled in this town. His name was
Sheikh Muhammad Al-Yassin. The town was named after Al-Sheikh Muhammad Al-Yassin and was known ever since as Deir Yassin .

In 1948, preparations for the killing in Deir Yassin had begun. The Zionist Jewish terrorist gang Stern presented a proposal to carry out a massacre of the town’s residents to show the Arabs what happened when the gangs Irgun and Stern were united in their
operations.

One goal of the attack was to "break Arab morale" and panic throughout Palestine . Deir Yassin overlooks Jerusalem from the highest mountain point. Taking Deir Yassin was a militarily strategic plan.  It was part of the Zionist plans to empty Palestine of
its indigenous inhabitants.

Irgun and Stern killed all who crossed his path, men, women (some pregnant) and children. Their aim was to empty the streets and vanquish the entire village. The killing was planned to terrorize the Arabs beyond the village of Deir Yassin , so they fled
away and so were expelled from their homes.

This explains why the death squads Zionists Jews did not bury the men, women and children killed. They left the bodies exposed to frighten other Palestinian Arabs.

Those who were still alive were captured by Zionist terrorist gangs and loaded into trucks with their hands tied and blindfolded. They were paraded through the streets of Jerusalem while other Zionist Jews applauded and celebrated the dehumanization of the
Palestinian Arabs.

After the humiliation of the Palestinians on the streets of Jerusalem, they were returned to Deir Yassin , they were lined up against the wall and killed in cold blodd. Fifty-three orphaned children were thrown, literally, along the walls of the Old City
of Jerusalem, where they were found by Hind Husseini, who took them home. It became the first kind of orphanage "Dar-al-Arabi al-Tifl" meaning “home of the Arab children”.
