How to protect your computer from malware – Inexpensive solutions – Part 1

The protection of the computer, desktop or laptop is essential these days, especially when you have almost everything done electronically, be it financial transactions, emailing or online purchasing. Everyone of these activities require your important data from credit card to professional credentials.

However, antivirus companies have made it easy for the users to protect the computers from hackers and malware like viruses and spyware software. However, there are certain things that still needed to be done by the users instead of the software.

One of most important when you purchase a new computer or  restoring the device to its stock settings or installing a new operating system in an all-new state is to install a fresh copy of an antivirus suite especially with an internet security application in it. For this purpose we recommend a paid version of the security software but there are many of the free software that do the job well if the computer is truly a personal computer. If the usage is professional, please do not take the risk of installing a free version, go for a complete paid suite. The economical way to do it is to install the server version of the software on the main server machine and free editions on the clients/terminals.
