Worldwide Developers’ Conference has always been taken as the launch time of the new iPhone. Although the 2012 version of the event did not show us anything that looked like a mobile device, the company did launch one thing that makes the iPhone and the likes their top-notch devices.

Alongside the launch and release of new MacBook Pro 15 incher, the company also launch the new iteration of its mobile operating system, iOS 6. The new OS will be released in fall but a lot of details have be showered at the public to spice up the market for its actual release.

Every smartphone in the market is sold on the basis of its operating system and every operating system is sold on its features, be it Android, Windows Phone or even iOS. Though it has a major chunk of the mobile market, iOS has to be updated on a regular basis. That is a prerequisite from the market, not the makers.

The new iOS fulfils many of the dreams like Passbook, a mobile wallet, FaceTime upgrade to include cellular services into the fold, upgrades to the voice command assistant called Siri and Facebook integration into the operating system itself.

Passbook, the electronic wallet is a smart move on Apple’s part. Though there are many NFC-capable smartphones and tablets in the market that make do with electronic wallet application through the likes of Google Wallet. However, the technology is still in its nascent phase.

What Apple has done is paved the way for the new technology with Passbook. By bringing the electronic cards and tickets into the reach of the general public, the company has spiced up the market for upcoming NFC wallet technology. It cannot be said for sure whether the new technology will be coming to iPhone this year or the next one, but the move is in the cards.

Since the company has announced that FaceTime will include cellular services in the new iOS 6, it probably is a hint to the 4G LTE wireless broadband technology finally coming to the next iPhone. However, the question is whether the new revamped FaceTime will also work on 3G network or not.

Apple has received a number of complaints on the irresponsiveness of Siri. However, instead of bringing it down, which is impossible for Apple, the company has reinforced the OS and has also announced its arrival to new iPad upon its launch.
