Hindu families’ migration to India: CM Sindh takes notice

Karachi: (Thursday, August 09, 2012) Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has taken notice of the Hindu families’ migration to India due to religious discrimination and rampant lawlessness prevalent in the province. Before migration,
the Hindu families were living in Jacobabad.

While taking the notice, the Chief Minister Sindh has also formed a committee headed by Mukesh Kumar Chawla. The committee is supposed to hold meetings with the minorities within 24 hours and to inquire the matter.

After dwelling onto the reasons behind the Hindu migration, the committee will present its report to the CM within three days.

According to the sources, fed up of constantly deteriorating law and order situation in Jacobabad, about 60 families have migrated to India.
