The patents that Apple had claimed to be copied by arch rivals, Samsung,
are just a small fraction of the components of a mobile, which prohibit the sale of 26 units of North Korean company in the United States.

This is what the judge, Lucy Koh, has come to tell who has been reviewing the case in San Jose (California) appeal for both companies on August sentence when a jury convicted the Korean company to pay a fine of one billion

In the same action, the judge has rejected Samsung’s claim that a retrial on the grounds that the jury foreman was biased.

A Judge Koh is left to fail the focus of that trial: the amount of the penalty. If revised downwards, as Samsung calls, those billions of dollars that Apple should pay damages, or upwards, as Apple claims. Everything
seems to indicate that the judge could lower it as some of the patents, according to the jury, now Samsung had infringed the Patent Office has put in question.
