ICC Ranking: Muhammad Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal shine on number one ODI spots

After giving outstanding performances in bilateral series against India, Pakistani cricketers Muhammad Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal ascended to the number one spot on the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) list of ODI allrounders and bowlers, respectively.

Pakistan’s T20 captain Hafeez scored 428 points after his performance in the ODI series against India, moving to the number one spot, followed by Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh, with 426 points. Moreover, he stood number two on the ODI bowler’s list.

Saeed Ajmal, who bagged five wickets in the third and final ODI during India’s home series, with a score of 801 shined as number one ODI bowler. Hafeez follows Ajmal on the same list with a difference of 48 points.

Although Pakistan lost the final ODI match to India in the three-match series, it managed to clinch the first tournament since 2005. Earlier, the two-match T20 series was ended without any result. Both the teams managed one victory each.
