Televisions are always a major factor of impressing anyone that comes over to your house and unlike any other product, the bigger is better for consumers nowadays. With LCDs and LEDs now becoming a thing of the past, we can now notice just how fast technology is really advancing.

The new thing, according to television manufacturer giants Samsung and LG, are curved OLED TV’s that are not only thinner than their predecessors, but are more pleasurable in viewing along with much more energy efficient as well.

OLEDs are currently not widely available in the market and according to experts, may not be for some time due to them being much more expensive than other technology available nowadays. Recently, LG launched a 55-inch mammoth OLED TV, and while Samsung has yet to beat them out, LG is not looking to really boost production as much due to it costing somewhere around the $10,000 range.

For the manufacturing giants, curved television screens are now the things of the future due to the more in-depth picture quality, which just is not available in LCDs and LEDs. The viewing angles are far more superior as well due to the specific architecture.

For now, these models will be available to be seen at the annual CEC and may even be out as soon as the end of this year in a more mass production sort of way.
