The second strongest party in the Pakistani government at the moment, Pakistan Tehreek E Insaaf, is willing to go for a long March on the 14th of August; the Independence Day.

He stated that all plans will be finalized as soon as 15th of July as Pakistan is going to witness one of the longest marches in its history and a protest which is going to be worth the efforts.

PTI has been protesting against rigging on different occasions and according to their chief, Imran Khan, this is going to be another big protest against the election rigging.

Shireen Mazari, who is the spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek E Insaaf, said that party leaders are going to decide on the matter and finalize the plan regarding the long march that is going to take place on 14th of August.

She also said that PTI is going to hold this Azadi March peacefully.

The government has also sent an invitation to Imran Khan to celebrate Independence Day with them on the 14th of August but currently that issue has not been touched by Pakistan Tehreek E Insaaf as they are far more motivated to protest against the rigging.

Railway minister, however, spoke against this protest and said, “Indulging in politics at a time when the country is fighting a war will do more harm than good.”
