Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chairman, Imran Khan, threatened this Tuesday August 5, 2014 to bring Pakistan to stand still if government attempted to restrain him under house arrest.  Imran Khan also warned police not to create hurdles in PTI ‘Azadi’ march otherwise his party workers would siege the police stations across the county. PTI Chairman further said that nothing can stop PTI ‘Azadi’ march on August 14th except prime minister’s resignation and new elections under the new election commission.

Imran Khan was talking to reporters in a local hotel to provide briefing on the coming Azadi March on August 14, 2014 to protest the rigging of election 2014. Imran Khan said that if government made any attempt to restrict his movement by putting him under house arrest, his party will block all the roads of the country and bring the life to stand still.

PTI leader also gave clear warning to the police of the Punjab province to refrain from any attempt to stop PTI workers to participate in the Azadi March. Khan said that his party workers will siege the police stations if police opened fire on the protest march.

Mr. Khan said that his party workers will not move from Islamabad until all the ‘objectives’ of the protest rally are met. PTI chairman wants to dissolve the election commission of Pakistan, and demands conducting of new elections under the new election commission. Imran Khan also demanded the prosecution of all those who archistrated the rigging plan of the elections 2013 under the Article 6 of the Constitutions of Pakistan.

Earlier Imran Khan had criticized the deployment of Pakistan Army in Islamabad under the Article 245 of Constitution of Pakistan. However, this time he believed that presence of Army in Islamabad would protect the women and children participating in the Azadi March.

Imran Khan claimed that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz obtained almost twice the votes in 2013 compared to elections in 2008 which was only possible through massive rigging during the polls.

Imran Khan said that his party is determined to go to any limit on August 14th to achieve their ‘goals’. He once again blamed judiciary and election commission for rigging during elections 2013. He also asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign and conduct new elections.
