Since it is certainly one of the best phones in the market if not the best to some users, the iPhone series is now taking a toll on those who want to switch to other platforms for a change. What apple has with its customers that has brought a huge pile of cash in the tune of $600 Million is the loyalty.

Since the advent of the iPhone in 2007, the smartphone culture has taken a sharp turn that has since favoured Apple. Besides their smartphone, the company has been thriving for an entire ecosystem for their users so that they do not have to look for alternatives and extra resources. There is App Store with application for iOS devices in access of 600,000, iTunes with the largest database of music, movies and television shows and iCloud to sync all your iOS and Mac devices to the cloud with single tap. Therefore, once you are in the ecosystem, your are so completely invested in it that a shift to other platforms becomes literally impossible.

With very few changes to the iOS interface, it’s like blackmailing from the company to persuading the customers to stay within Apple ecosystem with puppy eyes. However, the foes are taking a run at Apple empire that spans over the entire globe. Microsoft brings Windows Phone OS and Google has Android OS but the lack of attention from the users is not helping both.
