Now that Facebook IPO fiasco is over let’s get back to the real business that goes on for 360 days a year, talking about what Apple might launch next. The  five days left are the actual days when Apple stuns the audience with something new and out of the box.

The rumours trending of late are related to the upcoming Apple TV, the home appliance envisioned by former Apple CEO, Late Steve Jobs. His biography written in Walter Isaacson’s hand clearly quotes Jobs claiming a new television, “I have finally cracked it!”

However, it is still in oblivion what the new device would look like. It has been stated that the new device would be a trend setter, by a number of tech gurus, but this is still unclear what it will be. The company is known for devices that people needed but did not have idea about. iPad was a very intuitive solution to mobile computing but no one had ever envisaged such a device for the masses. There were tablets in the market but none were like the iPad. Now, experts are calling tablet culture as the post-PC era.

Apple has already rolled out a new streaming media device by the name of Apple TV, but that is far from being a traditional television. Although Apple TV sprung a new culture of online television media streaming via a set-top box, Roku and Google have followed the suit in Roku LT and Google TV (G-series in Samsung television).

The Apple TV, according to some experts is a far cry to relate with the upcoming new Apple television. They tout the new appliance to be a full-fledge LED television that can be placed on a table or mounted on the wall.

However, the CEO of DirecTV (DTV), Michael White, has something else to say on this matter. The veteran of television industry and the innovator in online television media streaming is known to have strong and authentic insight in the world of television technology.
