New iOS has more applications and features for iPad than the previous versions – Part 1

Apple launched the new iteration of its mobile operating system on Monday, June 11 at the Worldwide Developers’ Conference (WWDC). The new version is called the iOS 6, which is a no brainer as the suffix follows the number attached to the predecessor.

As Apple put it in presentation, the new mobile operating system is a major reinforcement to the iOS 5 with more than 400 new features. Most of them are though improvements to the existing ones but in a new way. For example, Facebook has been integrated into the operating system that was previously used as an application.

The launch of new iOS version is always targeted at the iPhone, the original holder of the OS. Even the iOS 6 is said to be released in Fall 2012. Therefore, the new iPhone may also be expected to shore up in the market at the time of the OS’ release.

For iPads, the new version serves in a backward direction. Every new iOS is mainly targeted at the newest iPad released, although it can be installed in all models. For example the iOS 6 will churn the most power in the third generation iPad, which was released in March this year.

Up until now, iPad has been a subset to the market for iOS, with not all features available to the tablet. However, there is always the first time. Apple has announced additional features for iPad, particularly the 2012 version. The biggest announcement was the introduction of Siri to the tablet.

So far, the voice recognition system had been taken as an extra for the tablet and its features in the new iPad had been limited to just voice dictation. However, the new iOS 6 will have all the new and existing functionalities in the iPad as well, including search and app launch.
