3. Nokia Lumia 710

Although the 710 was to cater to the less-expensive smartphone market segments, the phone comes with a number of features to go neck-and-neck with high-end handsets.

The phone was one of the two new devices launched by the Finnish company in 2011 and so far both Lumia 710 and 800 are enjoying a warm reception in Asia and Europe.

Powered by a single-core processor, the phone comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango updated operating system but still the phone has a long battery life.

4. HTC Rhyme

The Taiwanese company’s attempt to cater to the growing market segment of inexpensive smartphones, Rhyme comes with Android 2.2 Gingerbread with HTC Sense. The smartphone is one of the attractive devices in the market in the low-end segment and despite the pool of applications onboard, the phone sports  a long battery life, even longer than some high-tech gadgets in the market.

5. Samsung Galaxy SII

The signature brand with the flagship device under its wings, the Galaxy SII comes with a host of applications. The strategic partnership between Google and Samsung has churned out a number of smartphones and Galaxy SII is one of them.

However, one of the best features of the phone is its battery life that lasts for almost two days.

However, the battery does not compromise on other specs. The phone possesses a dual-core process to justify the needs of various applications like Facebook, Twitter and web browser and the screen is OLED that lets a brighter view compared to its counterparts in the market. But the powerful battery nestled inside chassis lets the phone lets all of them run smoothly.
