As far as the remote control is concerned, Apple TV has its own slim and easy-to-use remote control that can access everything that device has to offer. In addition, Apple has also integrated iPod, iPhone (3GS, 4 and 4S) and iPad with Apple TV to be used as a remote control.

Moreover, the Apple TV also boasts AirPlay, a mirroring software that can show iPhone, iPod and iPad content seamlessly on television screens. With AirPlay, the users can stream all of their content on the iOS devices to Apple TV with downloading or streaming from the internet.

In addition, all the content that is purchased (Not Rented) via Apple TV can also be downloaded from other iOS devices. The Apple TV also does a solid job of streaming music and videos from iTunes. That’s a big plus for people who already organize their digital music in iTunes. And if you’re willing to pay $25 a year for iTunes Match, you can access all your stored music without having to worry about storage at all.

Therefore, its crystal clear that if someone is already a part of the Apple ecosystem, Apple TV is the best value for the $99 paid. From streaming to sharing to downloading, Apple covers it all. However, if someone just wants to stream as much content as he/she can, Roku LT, as part from its price, is the best option with a host of different vendors in the fold.
