From conducting largest transactions to generous philanthropic activities to pulling off successful business deals, the world’s richest elite has been making news time after time but the toys these personalities keep has always kept the newspapers merchandize.

An expansive suit might seem like a rewarding purchase for a person who lives around a budgeted month however; looking at the toys of this rich niche gives a notion that these people have never heard of such word as budget.

From a few hundred thousand dollars to millions in dough, these guys have always given the reporters a full field day and if they run out of pocket money, governments are there to pass a $700 Billion bailout plan to take care of their pockets.

Following are some of the rich people and their gadgets that have made headlines over the years.

1.       Paul Allen

The Microsoft Corporation’s co-founder Paul Allen retired from Bill Gates’ company in 2000 but kept his net worth soaring up to the skies. His current worth, according to Forbes, is around $13 Billion.

Recently, the software maestro purchased one of the world’s largest luxury yachts for a humble $200 Million that houses a basketball court, tubs and two helicopter landing pads.

2.       Hassanal Bolkiah

The Sultan of Brunei is not an unknown figure when talking about the elitists of the elite. He resides in world’s largest residence that has countless rooms. His net worth is beyond calculation however; what can be calculated is the number of cars he owns.
His Highness has one of the largest car collections; around 1900 vehicles from Ferraris and Porches to Bentleys and Rolls-Royces.

He owns the world’s most expensive car, 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom, which he purchased for a mere $14 Million.

3.       Roman Abramovich

The Russian billionaire has a net worth of $13 Billion and owns various conglomerates in addition to Barclays Premier League club, Chelsea FC of West London.

He recently purchased a luxury yacht worth of $450 Million to spend quality time at sea. With a submarine attached underneath it and missile detection system installed, the yacht gives a look of a warship instead.

4.       Phil Ruffin

The man in the casino business and whatnots has a net worth of $2.1 Billion. Ruffin spent $70 Million on a Boeing 737, and if that is less then go through the extra expanses he made on the toy.

Mr. Ruffin spent $15 Million on upgrades and renovations and an extra million dollars on theatre system for crisp cinema experience.

5.       Bill Gates

The Microsoft co-founder planted his feet on the top the richest people’s list for over two decades. However, he is also known for generous donations like the one he pledged in 1994.

He purchased the rarest journal by Leonardo Da Vinci for $31 Million and sold its scanned copies for a mere $30 a piece worldwide.

However, it was after the sale that it dawned on this genius with a reported IQ of 169 that the manuscript was in Italian.
