Malala’s attack: Pakistan announces $1 million bounty for TTP spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan

Reacting over brutal attack on Malala Yousafzai, Pakistan has placed one million dollar bounty on the head of the spokesperson of the Tehreek-e-Taliban  Pakistan(TTP), Ehsanullah Ehsan.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the bounty announced for him who claimed responsibility for the Malala’s attack.

While interviewing to an American TV, the minister said that the plan to shoot 14-year-old peace activist was hatched across the country’s border, in Afghanistan.

The minister implicated Pakistani Taliban commander Maulvi Fazlullah in Malala’s attack, saying he had fled to Afghanistan during a Pakistani offensive in its Swat region.

He claimed that four people came from across the border, indicating that Pakistani authorities may have had previous knowledge of the planning of some type of incident.

He noted, “At that point of time we did not know exactly what their objectives were, and what type of action they were going to take, until they hit Malala.”

The minister also stated that one of the men involved in the attack has been identified and a few of his associates have been arrested, adding the fiancé of one of the militants has been apprehended by the authorities.

He explained, “The mindset which you have seen – an assassination attempt on Malala – shows the intent of the terrorists. But let the world not forget we are fighting a war on our porous border.”

Rehman Malik, however, didn’t comment whether the government will carry out an offensive immediately, but insisted it will make its move when the intelligence is right.

He opined, “The world has to see in this way that there is no singular approach. We do not have a singular approach towards the terrorists. We have to have a common approach against a common enemy, which we realize have failed so far.”

In his view, the authorities concerned will first have take into account the people who would be displaced in the areas as a result.

I think it’s great that Pakistan has placed a bounty for the cowards who atempted to assassinate Malala – preferrrably for the capture of their detached heads!. I’m sure millions in this world would be happy to contribute to such a cause, if a fund were to be arranged. The Taliban are nothing but a bunch of punks, afraid to challenge anyone openly, who instead hide behind old womens skirts, and are of less value than excrement!
